Dear guests! Food tour in Corfu
We have created a new gastronomic (and not only!) tour of the island for those who want to get acquainted with the gastronomic features of our island.
Many have heard about the liquor from dwarf Chinese oranges Kum kuat, about sweets from kum kuat, and what else?
In fact, many of our guests will be interested to know that in Corfu there are producers of fine cheeses and wines, as well as raw smoked sausages and nubulo, the local analogue of prosciutto and jamon.
We will go to these two farms to see how it is all made, as well as taste wines and taste several varieties of cheese in a shady gazebo on a hill surrounded by vineyards.
Here you can also buy these products and wines, as well as olive oil and jams, and the famous Corfiot fig pie.
In the same tour, we included a visit to a donkey farm - donkey rescue center in Corfu.
Amazing volunteers - the British - built a farm for hardworking donkeys - old people who worked hard for people and were kept in difficult conditions, no one cared for them, but only loaded and broke their backs with heavy overwork.
They are collected around the island and treated on a farm, giving them the opportunity to live their donkey life in peace.
More than 40 donkeys live on the farm now, and one newborn baby!!!
You can also try our smoked pork tenderloin with spices - local numbulo, and visit the Corfu meat shop.
And of course we will visit the factory where you can taste our kum kuat liquor and sweet jams for dessert
