Corfu Pilgrimage tour: a day in Epirus and the footprints of St. Paisius of the Holy Mountain
We offer a unique pilgrimage tour for everyone who wants to get acquainted with the spiritual heritage of Greece and the traces of the great saint. The journey begins with a morning ferry ride from Corfu to Igoumenitsa, then we go to the town of Konitsa, located in a picturesque part of Epirus.
Highlights of the tour:
The pilgrimage to the Stomiu Monastery is the place where Saint Paisius began his monastic path. A trip to the most beautiful places, along a mountain river, is accompanied by a guide who will tell you about the saint and his life. The walking route will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes, but for those who prefer a less active pastime, there is an opportunity to walk around the village and admire the ancient stone bridge.
The St. Paisius House Museum is an important stop on our route. Here you will learn more about the childhood and life of the saint before his monastic path, and you will also be able to worship shrines.
The Temple of St. Barbara – just 7 minutes from the house museum there is a temple where the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to little Paisius.
Lunch at a traditional tavern – at the end of the tour, we will have a rest and lunch with real Greek dishes prepared according to ancient recipes.
The tour is suitable for both individual pilgrims and groups. This trip will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere of Epirus, touch the shrines and learn a lot about the life and ministry of St. Paisius of Svyatogorets.
