This is the Fountain in the Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah. Jets of water gush out from under the water of the lagoon to a height of 100 meters, which makes the fountain the third highest in the world after the fountains in Geneva and Jeddah. Moreover, the width of the fountain is 220 meters.
But the Fountain in the Khalid Lagoon is striking not only for its size. Every day, starting at 7 p.m., the water jets are illuminated by multicolored spotlights, lasers and video projections. The performance is accompanied by music, and on Thursdays and Fridays it turns into a cinematic show that tells about the history of the Charm and plans for the future.
